I have been following your blog off and on for at least the past 10 years, probably longer. You were referenced from another blog discussing good policing and how you carried yourself. It has been a good slice of life and window into your world.
My exposure to such things was with my local PD, Louisville Metro (LMPD) here in Kentucky. I attended the Citizen Police Academy and have gone on a few ride-alongs and attended training ops as a volunteer.
It looks like the Pond experienced similar issues in 2020-21 as we had here, only a bit worse. We lost a ton of officers over it and had to lower standards to get enough into the academy. We are still down a few hundred officers.
It is a joy to see that you have retired. I'm sorry for the circumstances that led up to it. My gut says you would still be an officer if the events of 2020 had not happened. Stupid politicians.
I've enjoyed the photography and hope you continue to post them on this blog.
Take care.
