Shifting

 

To balance out the shift, officers were bumped to cover the deepest deficits on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesdays. 

 

 

Numbers

 

Afternoons is down to 26 total officers. Minimums for a single  shift used to be 25 officers. 

 

 

The Lizard

A First

 

Rolling a two man with Peak, Fire flags us down as we're en route to a man will a crow bar refusing to leave private property. 

On Beggar's, as they gave CPR to man down in the sidewalk, a woman screamed, "Get The Fuck Away From Him!" and doused two of the fire crew in red wine.

She's trying to flee westbound, but we nab her. She doesn't go into cuffs or the car willingly.

The fire fighter taunts  her, "You told me it would take them 23 minutes for police respond.

My guy was here in six seconds."

At booking,, the female deputies jump away from her as they search.  In her shorts, the pinch has a bearded dragon riding on her crotch.

For jail, it's a first. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Only Red

 

Red are calls, priority calls. 

Green are cold calls.

Every precinct is short.

Every Shift is short. 

Cold calls collect

and hold and mold.

There are only red calls.

There aren't officers

to take the green ones.

The Chief knows. 

He says make

the ones you take

count and do them well.

Last night, we were only at -5. 

Today, we are -6, I was going to burn more time,

but I feel guilty bringing the shift to -7

For Afternoons:

Central was -11

East was -9

North was -14

There were 21 officers working citywide after 3 PM on Halloween.
