When You Defund the Police: Shootings

 

Non-fatal shooting increase 241 percent from 2019 to 2021.

Shootings, during the same time increase twice as much as Minneapolis, the city with the next largest increase, and the city beats out other comparable cities like Atlanta, San Francisco, Denver, and Nashville. 

The homicide rate triples from 4.4 per 100,000 population to 13.5.

Non-fatal shooting increase from 98 in 2019 to 334 in 2021.
