Off-hand shooting, singled armed, on a time course, is not easy. Rolling the shoulder, to lock in a steady shooting platform, tends to cant the wrist to a 45 degree angle. To keep from my tendency to put a round over the target's shoulder, I turn the wrist back and elevate the thumb. If I rush a shot, I hit the the four zone. It is not optimal, but it better than missing the target altogether.
