Tonight, a fatal shooting on 60th Avenue on the east side, was the city's 67th homicide of the year. With three more murders, the number will tie the record set in 1987.
Working out, in the gym, at the end of shift, I predicted 77 by the end of the year. Paris thought there would be 81. Saber went with 90.
Before defunding and 170 plus nights of civil unrest, in 2019, the city had 29 homicides.
68... Another person was shot to death on the east side of the city.

My entire country, which is 37 million people now, the preliminary number for 2020 is 680, which shows almost no change from the year before. I cannot imagine dealing with 68 murders in a city of that size in a year. What do you even do?

@Applican't,
You become use to carnage and death. The worst part are the innocents. Too many people are being caught in the crossfire or struck by errant rounds.
