Guest Post from Wight: On the Job

I’ve been on the job for 7 years.
The job I always wanted.
This was something I used to be passionate about.
Until 2020.
My co-workers and I went through hell last year.
For 150 consecutive days.
I saw the worst in the citizens of my city.
I don’t know if that passion I once had will ever come back.
But I continue to put on the badge.
I’m not sure if it’s because I still want to wear it, or if I just refuse to let this place beat me.
