At this rate, and after yesterday and the last month, there is nothing worth staying for. The world has changed and my style of policing has been cast away.

Can't really blame anyone wanting to walk off at this point, especially if you can retire. Talking to the wife today, the big reason I'm not going to leave is because there's no "next man up". I hope to to 25 and retire, though that is a long way off.
We're transferring to a more affordable community soon, with a better work situation(hopefully) for her and where we will be able to buy a house, so there's things to look forward to. Life's a lot better when there's a carrot on the stick.
