Since the outbreak, 911 calls are down 10 percent, but calls involving suicidal subjects are up 23 percent.

Despite the governor's order, the department has no intent on arresting people breaking the stay in place order. We will "educate" and "discourage" people from gathering. 

 

 

Respirators

 

Last night, the ambulance crew pointed out they have to wear respirators on calls and we have nothing.

Yesterday, in the Riverfront Park, there were over a thousand people practicing social distancing while enjoying the rare view of the sun. 

 

 

Giving Days Back

 

I had scheduled two vacation days for Wednesday and Thursday of next week. My host daughter’s family was coming in from Italy to celebrate her 18th birthday and we were heading to the beach. That’s now cancelled. I gave the days back.
