Last night, wIth the heat and humidity, it felt like I had soup between my vest and my skin.

And I am back.

My summer descent into dialing down and learning to be a human again is over.

Returning to work, I had 8 texts, 5 voice mails, and 210 emails. 

I needed to qual, update my phone,fit test my mask, and go through the training I missed.

 

I shot a 97.2 and hit the street after a double carjacking.

We were still down 23 calls when Nights logged on.  Some calls had been holding for seven hours.

 

We are no longer a reactive police force.  There are too many calls for too few officers.
