More Changes

 

With the department spending 40 percent of its overtime budget for 25 percent of the year, today, the commander announced changes will becoming at the start of the year. We will be staying on four tens, but the department will operate five shifts instead of the current three. Shifts starting at noon and 6 PM. The brass has come to the realization that patrol cannot maintain its current work load without help. Traffic, Domestic Violence Reduction Unit,  Youth Service, Street Crimes, and the Neighborhood Response Teams will lend officers to taking shifts at the different precinct. It will take two months to work out the fine details.

 

 

 

 

 

OT Spending

At a beef off Fourth, Ghost Rider asked woman

why she was smoking if she was pregnant.

The woman said, "I have to.

I have asthma and can't breathe."

 

 

 

Slipping Away

Starting on the 26th, all OT slips will be electronic.

 

 

In-Service

 

 

The best part of the current In-Service is that everyone is equal. In the past, patrol, detectives, and command all had their own In-Services. Now, everybody has to run through the same scenarios and tactic class.

 

The second best part of In-Service,  is seeing officers I have not worked with in years.

 

 

 

 

Skins

 

 

Last night, Skins  was spit on. A mental hocked a thick loogie in his face.

After tonight, the bar we walk to after shift is closing an hour earlier. Choir practice will have to be held somewhere else.

Conquistador is now assigned to the walking beat.

He'll be babysitting travelers and street kids
