Pursuits: 2014 Stats

 

 

For the City:

Average pursuit length:  2 minutes and 20 seconds

Times pursuits occurred: 11 PM to 3 AM.

Days most likely to have a pursuit: Tuesday, then Wednesday and Thursday.
(almost twice as many than during the weekend.)

70 percent of pursuits awere traffic related.
(As opposed to driving a stolen car, robbery, DUII, etc.)

37 percent were terminated.

My anecdotal observations:
The older guys get in less pursuits than the younger guys.
The older guys tend to self terminate a pursuit more often than the younger guys.
The older one gets, the more one realizes the liabilities involved.
