I self-dispatch to a holding noise call at the private skate park next to the rail yard after Seven PM.
On scene, there is no violation. The sound level is less than code.
An hour later, the call pops back up again. I clear it out and call the complainant. He lives next door. He is unhappy with the noise.
"Sir, the noise is to code. They can skate on their property until ten."
He wants me to make them stop. I won't play.
He responds, "But they are drinking! Why are they allowed to do that?"
"Sir, it's private property. They are allowed to drink on private property. It's no diffirent than you drinking a beer in your house."
He says, "Well, if you aren't interested in helping me, I want your name and badge number."
I give him both.
I not interested violating other people's rights
