Before sunset, I've stopped at a four-way.
I start to roll, when I hear an engine. I look left to see
an SUV speeding, the woman behind the wheel singing.
She sees the stop light too late, and then, me.
She mouths, "Oh .... darn," and pulls
over before I turn to follow her.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to write you for that.
She smiles and says, "I deserve it."
She couldn't find her current insurance card.
The DMV doesn't have it on file.
She's friendly, so I walk up with my tough book MDT,
google her insurance company, and have her pull up her policy.
It's valid, so I hand her the cite, and send her on her way.
