are out with seven at a Catholic Church.

One mope scrawled a dime sized tag

on an exterior column with an ink pen.

 

Grumpy rolls up, addresses the group,

"Those officers bein' nice to y'all?"

 

They nod and reply, "Yes."

 

"Good, because I'm an asshole!"

 

 

Ricky

 

 

Yesterday, I stopped Ricky.

He had No-Op.

I let him park his ride.

Made him a deal,

Get your license,

bring it to court,

and I'll drop the cite.

 

Ricky rolled by me tonight:

same car, same time.

I stopped him, cited him,

and chewed his ear.

 

As he walked away

from the car, he said.

 

"RD, I'm sorry

for disappointing you."

A woman called dispatch to report

human hair buried in her front yard.

 

I examined the substance.

It was shredded, black plastic.

Refusal of Service

 

He was raging.

His fiancee called.

She said he'd stopped breathing, turned blue.

 

The EMTS wouldn't go in without our okay.

 

He was drunk.

He took off his jacket, puffed up his chest, and then squared up."

He said, "Don't mess with me or I'll fuck you up!"

He closed.

 

I locked eyes, dropped my voice, and said,

"If you touch me. I'll hurt you."

 

He blinked, backed down, and turned away.
