Uniform Update

 

The City has approved of the Department's choice of uniforms.

Now, the Department is looking for an approved vendor to sell us the uniforms.

Hearing Check

 

The department has been ordered 

to give officers regular hearing checks. 

 

I had my first tonight.

 

I don’t hear as well as I did when I was 24,

but I haven’t “officially” damaged my hearing, yet. 

 

Scrawled

 

Scrawled in pen, on the sun visor 

of each prowler, is the radio ID for each unit,

so utility officers unaccustomed to a new car 

won’t have to toggle through screens

to find the right number.

 

Granted

 

Yesterday, before roll call, 

I asked for Wedneday off.

The sergeant looked 

at the roster, and said,

“Sure, We’re fat.”

 

Great.

Its my daughter’s birthday.

 

He winked, “ In that case,

you can’t have it.

 

I got the day.
