I took this photo off duty with standing on the West Village pond. The pond is frozen over. It's rare. The ice is six inches deep. On my day off, after school, I took my children to the pond, and we skated in our shoes. The thaw starts tomorrow. My eldest told me she would have the memory in her heart.

Don't have either one here in Phoenix, no leaves and no ice. Guess we're batting about 500.
