Three Weeks Ago.

Three weeks ago,

I asked for today off.

At the time,

I was first in line for the day.

But, Hull broke his foot,

and Vise went on FLMA.

Since we've been at minimums,

I did not expect the day.

My sergeant called at 2300 hours

last night and apologized.

No Worries.

She called back at 0012.

She miscounted.

I have the day,

and can properly celebrate

my daughter's birthday.

It's a very famous story that all norwegian kids know by heart. The ending isn't right, though. In the end, the biggest billy goat kills the troll, and he falls into the river. Hope she likes it :-)
