Kappy's at Two Creeks
writing in his prowler
with a view of the park
when he hears,
"Tink, tink, ta-tink, tink."
MInd on task, pen to paper,
he ignores the noise.
"Ting, ta-tink, tink."
Without rhythm, with out regularity,
the staccato repeats.
"Ting, Tink, ta-tink."
He looks up.
No one's around.
"Ting, ting, ta, ta-tink."
The sound is like pebbles
bouncing off his patrol car.
"Tink, ting, tink-tink."
Kappy spots a woman
in his rear view mirror.
She waving.
so Kappy exits the car
to talk with her.
She points and says,
"I don't want to scare you,
but there's a chicken
on your car."
What a wonderful woman :-D
Poor Kappy, what would he have done had she not drawn his attention to this scary bird.
Incidentally, chicken have begun to appear in strange places in my town, too. Like on the steps of the city hall, and in a tree in a residential area.
Can it be some kind of global happening??

A really fresh dinner isn't such a bad reward for slogging through some paperwork. Or did he instead opt for a lifetime's worth of free eggs?
