Tonight, I stopped a guy
for running a light.
When I approached,
his window was down,
his dome light was on,
an his wrists were on the steering wheel.
When I explained the stop,
he said, "Officer,
I want you to know
I'm carrying."
I met his eyes.
As long as you don't pull it out,
there won't be a problem.
He breathed and said,
"Thank you, Officer,"
and I continued the stop.
Guess he paid attention in Driver's Ed!

If I told an officer I was carrying, I would be summarily yanked from my vehicle, and doing the asphalt kiss in a heart beat.
We aren't allowed to carry in this state.

RD, we tried getting concealed carry passed a few times. Unfortunately, the paranoid anti-gun nutz outvoted us. We, in the great frozen north (Wisconsin), may be allowed to hunt, but we have very little liberties when it comes to anything else dealing with guns. Heck, here if you shoot someone, defending yourself or your property, there's a good chance you're going to jail for it.
