We had winter.
It does not come often.
We have cold rain.
We have cold winds.
When the two mix,
snow briefly falls,
and then comes the freeing rain.
This year we had snow.
18 inches worth:
A forty year snow.
The city shut down.
Children played.
The snow has lasted over a week.
It's wonderful,
but I'm glad I'm not working.
I called Kappy.
His report:
"People can be so stupid,"
and then they call the police for help.

Fascinating poem.
And well said.
Hope you're enjoying your vacation!
