Years ago, I planted this lilac as a wee bundle of sticks.
This is the first year it has bloomed in a way that I felt
able to take a cutting without denuding it.
I did once know it's name, and I assume if I looked in
my notes I could find it again, but I can't be bothered.
I love how large and double the blossoms are. It looks
so lush and lovely. The fragrance is wonderful, but not
overwhelming.
I've chanced Big E's allergies and brought my little
clipping inside. I set it on the window ledge in the kitchen.
If he avoids washing dishes, I don't think it should
bother him. In the meantime, I have a subtle sweetness
to enjoy while I do my kitchen chores.
