Yesterday I bought a six pack of cupcakes,
something I NEVER do.
It could have been a moment of rebellion,
of saying, "Yes, I could do this myself,
but I choose not to."
Or, it could have just been the fact that I really,
really wanted a cupcake, or (to be totally honest)
two.
Anyway, the cupcakes were really yummy,
and I totally impressed my children,
while amusing Big e, so it was a win all the way around.
I have a dozen square dice bags, and 6 flat ones,
waiting for their final once over before being packed up.
There are two more bags that need to be whipped up,
and then, if there are no more orders before midnight
(I stop taking special orders for Christmas at midnight),
I will be done with my sew-for-pay for Christmas.
When the scones are out of the oven
(Did I mention scones? They are in the oven.),
I am going to pull out my Christmas lists
and see where I stand.
It is just the girls and I at home today.
I have plans to shop my neighborhood's
annual Christmas event (the shops are running
special sales and promotions), put up Christmas
decorations, and plan my attack on gift giving.
I have one more event that I'm hosting,
an all day collage/mixed media open house on
Friday, and then the Christmas baking will commence!
Now, the timer has rung, so it is time for scones!
