I think I have a case of pre-holiday brain melt.
Yep. I think I do.
On Monday, I forgot to put water in the girls' lunches,
and twice this week I forgot entirely about Big E's
work dinner. (Work? You have to go to work?)
Yep. There's nothin' but mush in the ol' brain box.
Obviously, I'm ready for vacation time.
Happily, I've been finding time for ornament making.
I made this little ornament in a cardboard pinecone
on Friday. I got the idea from an ornament I saw in a shop,
and lo-and-behold, I had everything I needed at home
for my own version. (Actually, I had what I needed
for a half dozen of them.)
Yesterday, Grand M and the two Aunties came over
and we made acorn versions of these.
It was a flurry of hot glue, diamond glaze, wool roving,
faux mushrooms, glitter, antique bits and bobs,
and laughter. (You should have heard the story of the
anthropomorphic panettone that went feral. Classic stuff.)
I have one more work night,
and one more school morning to get through,
and then.. then I can feel relaxed in my brain.
