I sew dice bags, lots of dice bags. (More than 130 last year.)
You non-gamers out there might wonder why. There are a lot of things I could be doing with my time, oh so many things.
But none of those other things give me e-mails that start like this:
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
and go on like this:
"IT'S MARVELOUS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Dice bags don't make me rich, but there is something about them.
No where else in my life am I told I "Rock Hard!" or that I'm a "miracle maker".
Gamers are an intense lot. They take a mass produced product and make it their own. They manipulate rules, models, cards, scenarios, or stories into their own creations, armies, characters, adventures etc. Everything in gaming has a backstory. This is what makes these games so interesting and addictive.
I love the personal connection which is made in most of my sales (I adore backstories), and I love being able to take the creative individuality that is Handmade, and apply it to this other world of imagination where almost everything corporeal is mass produced.
In short, I love me some gamers, big time.
