Question: What am I working on?
This is a question that has been whizzing around in my head this week. I can't seem to settle on any one project. I hover from pile to pile trying to focus. I try to clean my work area, to organize my thoughts, but.. argh! the shiny objects and pretty things keep distracting me! I can't put this away, I want to put it in a collage, and, oh that would be perfect for that bag, and Wow! I've been looking for that! So maybe if I list them, I will be able to organize my overwhelmed brain..
1. Dice bags (I need to make more for my Etsy site.. it is looking bare..)
2. Brocade handbags. (Need inventory for Holiday Sales... I applied for this one! Eeek!)
3. Children's totes (Ditto Inventory for Holiday sales)
4. Finish the Fan Quilt. (The backing fabric came, and all I need to do is Put. It. Together.)
5. Fabric crowns. (More Holiday Sales...)
6. Sewn Collages (I have more selvages I want to use up.. and oh so many ideas.)
7. Sealed Collages (Oh, I need to work more with this too... )
8. Baby Quilt (I have a baby quilt I want to make for October, I think.)
9. Brocade mini wallets (That Holiday Sale thing... )
10. New Dice Bags (I have this idea for a deluxe version..)
11. Knitting (Really, I do still knit. I have a second Jayne Hat on the needles now.)
12. Crochet (Have I mentioned an afghan I started this summer....?)
13. ... uhhh.. I know there is something else...
Okay. This list doesn't make me feel better. Um. Forget I mentioned it.
Question: What am I working on?
Answer: Not much, why do you ask?
Tomorrow Little e starts kindergarten.
Do you know what this means?
No, it doesn't mean tissues. Little e has been ready for this for a long time, as have I.
This is the beginning of my life with Time. At least theoretically it is.. This is supposed to be the fabled land of 6 hours and fifteen minutes of time to work on Projects, to explore creativity, to catch up on house work who I am.. And I think I'm worried I'll fail to take advantage of this lovely new world.. that instead of jumping on the opportunity, I curl up on the couch and eat bonbons while watching daytime TV. (Gak! What a thought.)
I think I am overwhelmed with the potential. There is this entire new world out there, and I have more than just a day pass.
