Happy Easter! 
The girls are with Big E's folks for a quick visit as I try to kick the lingering bits of my cold. Oh but I have news... little e, the girl who would be 4 forever, is going to turn five. This is an amazing turn of events people! Since the day after little e turned 4 last year she has insisted that she would stay 4 Forever! No persuasion would touch her. "Oh but you won't get any birthday presents." lead to responses like "Santa will bring me presents at Christmas." The girl was steadfast. How did this change happen? Well....
h.: "little e after Easter it will be only 2 1/2 weeks until your birthday."
little e: "I am not having a birthday."
h.: "Okay. But if you wanted to change your mind, you would need to tell me soon."
little e: "I am going to be 4 Forever."
h.: "You know, it will make me very sad not to celebrate your birthday. It is a special day for me too."
little e: "Oh, what were you doing on that day?"
h.: "I was giving birth to you."
little e: "Oh."
Sweetheart G: "It's a very special day for me too.."
little e: "Okay. I will turn five."
That was it! After 11 1/2 months of denial it was that simple. Amazing.
