Alrighty, here is the prototype class art quilt. Each child will draw 2 or 3 flowers, or butterflies, bugs, or whatever garden tidbit makes them happy. They will then get to choose up to 3 fabrics for each drawing. Nothing they draw can be narrower than their thumb, or larger than six inches across. (We will be handing out 6" squares of paper for each thing they draw.) On the backing, I will write the name of the artist who created that flower, or critter. I hope the final wall hanging will be about 30" by 30"... but we will see. The final quilt will look like a fanciful garden full of flowers and critters created by 7 and 8 year olds.
