Well, the 25 foot tall Elderberry "tree" that fell over has been completely cleaned up. We have 5 bags and 3 barrels ready to go out with the yard debris tomorrow. I *hope* they take it all...
My big burly husband/gardener used the thick branches and trunks to make this nifty border around the rose bed.
Little E helped him by carrying the logs to him. She also gave design advice. Big E (the husband/Daddy "E") was very impressed with her muscles. She's as buff as a 30 pound four year old can be!
Most of my bulbs are gone and my big dogwood is sad with her browning pink petals.. But! My Chinese Dogwood is flowering this year. It has decided to flower every other year, and this is a bumper year!
The green flowers will slowly turn white, but this is my favorite stage. I love the green on green and that bit of a pink flush on the leaf!
