It was a five report night:

two thefts, a burg,

a DV disturbance,

and felony DV custody. 

 

Phoohl: The Blog is Out

 

At court, Beach Boy turned to Grumpy and said, "Who are you?" in Raindogblue.

Grumpy looked back and said, "You know that. I'm Grumpy, Phoohl!

 

Designated Driver

 

I arrested a designated driver tonight.

He blew a .15 after blowing a stop sign

and driving 70 in a 30 in front of me.

 

 

Rumblings and Rumors

 

With another proposed cut to next year's budget, the department is considering a hiring freeze and changing shifts. Days and Afternoons will switch to a 5-8. Nights will retain the 4-10.

New Phones

 

Monday, all of Officers at West

will be issued new phones.

These have cameras.

 

 

Off

 

I have time to burn.

I took today and Monday off. 

It's a five day weekend for me.

Yesterday, Today

 

Jane is in crisis.

 

She hears voices,

laughing one minute

and screaming the next.

The man inside her stabs

her to remind her

who is in control.

 

Despite a Director's Hold,

the hospital released her

in less than four hours.

 

Grumpy and I were back out tonight.

 

Nothing had changed.

 

We took her to another hospital. 

I hope they hold her longer.

Small Blessings

 

Grumpy makes a mean cookie

and shares them with the shift.
